Our Teams

Men’s First Team

Our men’s 1st team play in BUCS 1A, the highest division of Scottish Basketball. They finished second last year, ensuring another season to push for BUCS Prem. This upcoming season we welcome Mateusz Kruczynki as their new head coach to keep developing and competing at the highest level.

Women’s First Team

The Women’s 1st team are a Performance team at Edinburgh meaning they get access to the highest level of training and S&C available to a student athlete. They Play in BUCS Premiership North where they finished 5th last season. Led by Head Coach Bart Sengers, they were also crowned SSS National Champions.

Men’s Second Team

The Men’s 2nd team compete in BUCS Div 2 and finished 5th this season. After a tough season last year the guys are looking to push for the top end of the table this year. They will be led by coaches Rob Gilmour and Georgia Taylor in doing this.

Women’s Second Team

The W2s play in BUCS Div 1, competing in the highest Scottish basketball division. After a tough season the team finished 4th but look forward to push for the top end of the table in the upcoming season.

Men’s Third Team

After a turbulent 22/23 season which saw the M3s relegated to BUCS Div 4, this team finished with an (almost) unbeaten season, pushing for promotion, which will see them competing in Div 3 in this next season. The team will be led by head coach Beau Davidson and assisted by Kam Banz.

Women’s Third Team

After a strong season for our W3 they came 3rd on BUCS Div 2, ensuring another season competing at this level, and pushing for the league title.

Men’s 4th Team

A new addition to EUBC for the 23/24 season, the M4s competed in BUCS Div 5 and finished with an unbeaten season ensuring their promotion to Div 4.

Development Team

Another new initiative for the 23/24 season. The development team is a mixed gender team that competes in the University’s Intramural League. They have a fortnightly training session and games on Saturday mornings. Additionally, this teams provides a pathway to the rest of the teams.
